"A beautiful lament that conveys with impeccable clarity what it is to give one's self to their own fate"
- The 405

“Music that transcends and transfixes, challenges and comforts”
Highway 81 Revisited

“A beautiful and meditative piece of art that surprises and delights by virtue of its embrace and suspension of traditional form, and its avant garde approach”
-All Around Sound

An experimental elegy for chamber ensemble in three movements. Orchestrations of classical guitar, winds, brass, synthesizer, vocals, and piano are woven with tendrils of string passages and field recordings. The movements are exercises and expressions on theme, working within the chambers and corridors of an overarching reference to inner cathedrals and internal sanctuary.

about

La Société Expéditionnaire

We are an independent record label founded in 2006. We are inspired by the spirit of Dischord, Factory Records, Stax Records, and Art Monk Construction. Our focus is on both legacy and emerging artists, community, and authenticity of process. We cultivate recordings as rough gems, "avoir du cachet"; full of character, pristine, rare...but never precious.
